Offline playback
Playback without reception – automatic in the apps, via download package on desktop.
FilmApp is built for locations without reception. Offline playback happens in the apps – for screens in the shot there are downloadable desktop packages.
In the apps (iPhone and Android)
The app loads all project content automatically: fully on sign-in, refreshed on every launch with a connection. Offline it stays available – until you sign out.
- 1Open the app once with an internet connection before the shoot.
- 2Wait until the sync icon at the bottom of the overview settles – the device is ready to shoot.
- 3On set, all scenes run entirely from local storage.
Desktop scenes
For monitors without internet on set: download the desktop scene in advance as a ZIP package via the download icon in the overview and open it on the playback computer → On the computer.
Changes without a connection
Content changed on set is remembered offline (“Save offline”) and transferred automatically at the next online contact → Edit content.
Signing out deletes the loaded offline data and unsynced changes – the app warns you first. So stay signed in during the shoot.
